| This English Silver Cup is marked GR,Lion Passant facing left,(second mark) illegible but it looks like head in shield, Letter date Q as in 1854-1855 and duty mark is Queen's head with knob of hair on back of head. There is a monogram LC or LT. It is 3 1/2" to top of cup, 4 1/8" to top of handle, 3" diameter at top and 3 1/2" diameter at bottom. On the bottom are the numbers 3653. I take the marks to mean Chester 1854-1855. The cup is in excellent condition. |
