| This Muffineer is marked with the Hartford Sterling Co. Logo or Trademark, sterling and 1661. The Hartford Sterling Co. was in business from 1901 to 1924 so this piece was made between these dates. It is 5 1/4" high, the bottom diameter is 2 1/4" and the widest diameter is about 3 1/2". There is a Monogram DJR. I think you can see on the picture that the monogram is quite ornate. The inside is lined with a coating to keep it from tarnishing. Many of my customers like to use these for shaker cheese too and the holes in the top of this muffineer are large enough for that. It is in fantastic condition for such an early piece. |
