| This plate is marked Shreve & Co., San Francisco and sterling. It is 13 3/16" in diameter, 1" high and the reticulated border is 2 3/8" wide. I don't know if you can tell but the border is all done in open work. It weighs 2 pound 1 ounce. The center monogram is done in thick Gold. It is an L with 1858 on one side and 1908 on the other. I presume it was for a 50th wedding anniversary. This is a one of a kind piece. |
