This Sugar is marked Starr-Marcus, 925 over 1000 in a shield and New York. Starr&Marcus circa 1865 predecessor to Theodore B. Starr and Reed & Barton. These pieces are hand made and assembled. The marks on the creamer are gone. The sugar bowl is 4" high to top of bowl--7 1/4" high to the top of the handle--and 51/4" in diameter. It has a medallion on the one side. On the other side is a clear medallion that could be Monogrammed. Two Egyptian Type heads are just below where the bail attaches to the bowl. The Creamer is 5 1/2" at the highest part of the body and 5 3/4" to the top of the handle. It is 3 5/8" from tip of handle to spout. It too has a medallion on the one side and a plain medallion on the other side that could be used for a Monogram. It too has the Egyptian type heads at the part that holds the handle onto the body and on the opposite side. Both pieces have hoof feet.
