| This Tea or Chocolate Pot is marked Bailey Banks & Biddle, Sterling and 518. This is an early piece probably 1900 to 1920. At this time Bailey Banks and Biddle no longer manufactured Sterling but they put their name on pieces made by other manufacturers. A lot of their silver was made by Dominick & Haff. This pot is 11" tall. The base is 3" square. The main section is about 4" by 3 1/4". There is no monogram only the Maiden holding an anchor and a bouquet. I have had a very hard time getting descent pictures of this piece. There is an engraving of a maiden on the front but there is no D. What appears to be a D above the Maiden is the reflection of my Camera. The picture of the Maiden was almost impossible to get. I did my best. The pot is in excellent condition. |
