| These reticulated compotes are marked with an Eagle, BLACK, STARR & FROST, sterling, 265 and 10 in. Date of manufacture is between 1870 to 1908. They are 3 1/2" high to the highest point. They are marked 10 in. but they are actually about 10 1/2" wide. The base is 6 1/4" in diameter. The base is reticulated in the same design as the border of the top. There is a monogram that looks more like a decoration than a monogram. The closest I can come to is that the monogram is C V W in script. The two compotes weigh 60 regular ounces. This pair is magnificent. Price is for the Pair. |
